Front-end Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team, other software engineers and product managers to design, build, enhance, and test new features

• Contribute and maintain our shared tools such as component library.

• Write clean and maintainable code that is properly tested and reviewed

• Understand and construct CI/CD pipelines to streamline from development to production

• Understand the product thoroughly. Analyse, design and develop functionalities based on product requirements.

• Identify and fix problems to improve stability and user experience

• Explore and evaluate the practicality of new technologies to improve existing processes and/or products

• Participate in regular internal technology sharing and other regional tech events

Job Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering  or related fields

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and a strong grasp of JavaScript fundamentals

• Knowledge with React / Angular / Vue

• Familiar with the full web stack, understand common network protocols

• Good sense of UI and UX design

• Passionate about frontend development, innovation, and solving challenging problems

• Willing to explore, research and apply new technologies and tools to streamline the existing process

• Excellent working attitude, problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills

• Experience in solving web performance issues and web performance optimization

• Experience in using Frontend Engineering, automated tools to develop, test and deploy the systems

Analyst - Regional Business Finance

About the role

We operate three core businesses across digital entertainment, e-commerce, as well as digital payments and financial services, known as Garena, Shopee, and Monee, respectively. Garena is a leading global online games developer and publisher. Shopee is the largest pan-regional e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Monee is a leading digital payments and financial services provider in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with country finance teams on month-end closing, accuracy of system data, group audit and any accounting - related matters

• Perform key analysis on the financial performance of business segment (e.g. Garena, Shopee, and SeaMoney) and operation statistics at a regional level

• Support FP&A objectives in the management reporting process and budgeting and forecasting cycles

• Identify issues and coordinate amongst various stakeholders (both local and regional) on projects such as revenue recognition, process improvement and system implementation

• Assist business through providing data, insights and analytics to support the team in making the right data-driven decisions ​

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or related fields, or other related professional qualification in accounting, such as the ACCA and ISCA.

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Big 4 accounting firm experience desired but not a must

• Strong team player who thrives on excellence and continuous improvement

• Passionate in the finance space with a strong willingness to learn 

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while delivering desired results

• Possess strong, logical, and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SQL and PowerBI knowledge will be an advantage

• Experience with voluminous data management, statistics and research methodology will be a plus

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and build good working relationships.
