Business Development (M&A) Intern

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our team in business development, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and project finance activities.This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in large-scale energy infrastructure transactions and strategic corporate initiatives across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
 

Key Responsibilities
1. Business development support

  • Conduct market research on gas-fired power opportunities in target geographies

  • Identify and profile potential acquisition targets, partners, and counterparties

  • Track government tenders, policy developments, and strategic investment trends

 

2. M&A support

  • Assist in preparing financial models, valuations (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps)

  • Support due diligence (financial, technical, commercial) including data room reviews

  • Draft presentation materials, investment memos, and term sheet summaries


3. Project finance support

  • Contribute to the development of project finance models including debt sizing, IRR/NPV analysis, and sensitivity cases

  • Assist in reviewing financing term sheets, loan agreements, and financial close checklists

  • Corporate Initiatives

  • Prepare management reports, board slides, and coordination materials for internal approvals

  • Track project milestones and M&A pipeline status

  • Assist in preparing materials for strategy sessions

Accounts Payable Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate of invoice processing in compliance with the local statutory requirement

  • To ensure the creditor aging balance is accurate and reconcile with the vendor statement.

  • To response and handle to queries from Vendor and end-users

  • Support and resolve the service request

  • Provide information on processes,

  • Compile and surface any compliance issues.

  • Handle vendor master creation and maintenance

  • Undertake ad hoc and related functions as assigned

GL Shared Services Intern

​Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare & park/ upload journal entries into SAP 

  • Prepare monthly accounts to Tagetik for Group consolidation

  • Prepare monthly audit schedules and clear balance sheet items

  • Complete SAP Open item clearing and update of assignments within the month

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation including liaison with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to clear outstanding unreconciled items.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly / quarterly GST report and ensure correct GST treatment and timely submission to IRAS.

  • Creation of Asset Number in SAP and passing of relevant asset accounting journal

  • Fixed Asset tagging, monitor and update fixed assets register and budget status

  • Fixed Asset reconciliation and reporting

  • Project tracking and capitalization

  • Inventory reconciliation

  • Assist in ad-hoc query/projects

Indonesia Urban Business Development & Marketing Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on industrial real estate, competitor analysis, and investment promotion to identify new business opportunities 

  • Assist the team to develop institutional knowledge on relevant government regulations and economic policies

  • Support in updating investment projections and preparation of stakeholder reports

  • Work closely with Project Lead and coordinate with relevant departments on ad-hoc tasks based on evolving business needs

Analyst Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholders and business users in developing and standardizing business processes by analyzing and evaluating existing processes and challenges.

  • Document, review and update procedures and policies to support the business requirements and communicate progress, feedback, and suggestions to all stakeholders.

  • Assist in managing the data migration process, which includes identifying, defining, and testing of migrated data.

  • Conduct user acceptance tests and work with key stakeholders on adoption of new processes.

  • Research, explore and recommend various tools and technologies available for business process automation.

Engineering & Business Development Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing solar systems

  • Assisting in solar proposal preparations

  • Assisting in site surveys

  • Preparing marketing proposal and business presentations for clients

  • Undertaking adhoc market research and analysis for the team to identify new business opportunities

  • Assisting the Business Development team to computerize processes through creation of codes/program to improve operational productivity

Solar Procurement Data Analyst Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Data-Driven Quotation Analysis: Analyze and compare supplier quotations using data visualization and analytics tools to optimize pricing, terms, and value.

  • Tender Data Insights: Assist in structuring and analyzing historical procurement data to improve tender preparation and vendor selection.

  • Vendor Risk Analytics: Support vendor credit risk assessment through financial data analysis and trend identification.

  • Procurement Process Optimization: Assist in data modeling for tender evaluation, ensuring strategic sourcing decisions.

  • Supplier Performance Analytics: Track and evaluate supplier performance using key procurement KPIs to identify trends and improvement areas.

  • Contract Data Management: Support contract tracking and compliance by maintaining structured procurement datasets.

  • Automation & Reporting: Assist in developing dashboards and reports to monitor procurement metrics and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Administrative & Documentation Support: Maintain procurement records with an emphasis on data integrity and accuracy.

Procurement & Contracts Intern

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing

  • Support buyers in preparing tender/RFQ documents, administering tenders, compiling bid submissions and other activities.


2. Process Excellence

  • Support the development and roll-out of the procurement policy and standards.

  • Develop procurement KPIs and implement process control.

  • Support data gathering and analytics.

Data Analytics Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and generate detailed learning reports using various analytics platforms to provide stakeholders with actionable insights on key learning metrics and programme effectiveness.

  • Ensure the integrity and cleanliness of learning data by implementing robust data management practices, validating data sources, and regularly auditing datasets to support accurate reporting and analysis.

  • Identify and implement processes to continuously review, track metrics, and assess training objectives and effectiveness.

  • Assist in maintaining and managing learning systems and tools, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and user accessibility to support effective learning experiences.

  • Assist in designing learning communication materials and Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) campaigns to effectively convey learning content and engage learners.

  • Support the coordination of trainer’s availability and training logistics for in-house learning

  • Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in implementing learning content aligned with business strategy.

  • Ad-hoc projects/duties as assigned.

Procurement & Contracts Management (Urban) Intern

About the role

As part of our process improvement journey, the team is actively identifying opportunities for improvements. At present, we are embarking on digitization efforts and leveraging on technologies to achieve higher operational efficiencies. The intern will be participating in our procurement improvement journey. Intern should apply his/her business acumen and data analytics skills into the role. He/she would also assist to plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvements in the procurement processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs operational and tactical sourcing activities including contract negotiations

  • Performs sourcing of indirect purchases for Urban functions

  • Collaborate with supplier for their onboarding process

  • Participate and support in procurement project initiatives which includes providing system data maintenance

  • Partner with Group procurement foIntern, Procurement & Contracts Management (Urban)r procurement project initiatives

  • Identifies, participates or leads in procurement/improvement projects /initiatives
