Advertising Solutions Architect, gTech Ads, Large Customer Sales

About the role

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

In this role, you will work with business teams and customers to understand their priorities and business objectives to architect technical solutions of the Google advertising ecosystem. You will drive executive-level customer interactions and discover problems. You will develop and apply the expertise of Google advertising products to solve customer marketing objectives. You will understand customer technical infrastructure and Google Products and Systems to design solutions that integrate with the customer ecosystem.Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech’s role is to help bring them to life. Our teams of trusted advisors support customers globally. Our solutions are rooted in our technical skill, product expertise, and a thorough understanding of our customers’ complex needs. Key responsibilities

  • Engage with external clients and internal business stakeholders to identify customer business objectives and marketing objectives through consultative approach.

  • Lead client meetings to explore opportunities for Technical and Media engagements which help the customers achieve their business objectives.

  • Develop expertise of the Google Advertising Products, customer infrastructure and gTech Ads solutions offerings to consult on or architect technical and Media solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Lead multi-quarter projects by collaborating with cross functional internal and external teams to ultimately lead to customer wins and Google Ads business growth outcomes.

  • Lead planning and quarterly business reviews for LCS to plan and govern the progress on gTech Ads service delivery and business growth enablement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).

  • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

  • Experience in project or program management with the ability to work separately and manage multiple projects.

  • Experience in the advertising industry and technologies with App user acquisition, App analytics, App user retention.

  • Experience in building proof of concepts using web or scripting technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and SQL.

  • Ability to learn technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.

  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with various groups (e.g., Business teams, Solution Engineers).

Software Engineer, Display Ads Formats

We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write code to run experiments, analyze results, improve our serving technologies, introduce new products.

  • Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

  • Be comfortable writing and debugging client-side code to integrate new products and features.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

    • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

  • Preferred qualifications:

    • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

    • Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, mobile application development, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, developing large software systems, or security software development.

    • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
